What is your lead time?

Our fixtures are made to order and have a 1-3 week lead time. As a small business, lead times may vary from time to time (large orders, holidays, etc). Please contact us for expedite requests. We will do our best to accommodate expedited requests..

Do you offer a trade discount?

To open a trade account, please complete the trade application. Once we receive your trade account request, we will contact you with our trade program information. Benefits of our trade program include: discounts, spec sheets, invoicing, and exclusive product updates.

Are your fixtures UL Listed?

Most of our hardwired fixtures are UL Listed for both dry and damp locations which includes bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, as well as covered patios as long as the fixture is protected from the elements. Our plug in fixtures are not UL Listed but built to UL standards.

What sockets are used for the fixtures?

Our fixtures are built with either E26 standard base sockets or E12 candelabra base sockets. Double check each product description to see which socket is used for that particular fixture. Depending on the fixture, E27 standard base European sockets may be substituted. Contact us if an E27 socket is needed.

What voltage are the fixtures rated for?

Most of our fixtures are rated for voltages up to 240v. Voltages are listed in each product description. E27 standard base European sockets may be substituted. Our lamps are built with U.S. standard cord ends.

Can a plug be added to your sconces?

A cord and plug can be added to most of our sconces. Contact us if a cord and plug is required.

What brass options do you offer?

We offer two different brass options - natural brass and brushed brass. Natural brass will develop a rich color over time. A non-abrasive brass cleaner can be used to remove the patina, if desired. Brushed brass is hand brushed and a coat of wax is applied to the fixture.  

How do I clean my fixture?

We recommend using a damp microfiber cloth to gently clean the fixture. Next use a dry microfiber cloth to dry any moisture that may remain from the damp cloth. Do not use abrasives or cleaners on the fixture as they may damage the finish.

Do you offer a warranty?

We guarantee the workmanship and electrical components of our light fixtures for 2 years. Damage from misuse, improper light bulb usage or improper installation will not be covered.​ Any repairs needed will be completed in our Texas studio. We cannot reimburse for any installation or product removal. With proper care, our fixtures will last a lifetime.

What is handcrafted quality?

We take pride in our craftsmanship. Our fixtures are handmade to order in our Texas studio. We strive to use the highest quality materials available, however, minor imperfections may be present in the fixture finishes and handblown glass.

Shipping/Returns & Exchanges

Shipping Procedure

When your order is received, we will send an email so you'll know we have your order. Our fixtures are handcrafted to order, please see individual product descriptions for accurate lead times.

J Knox Designs ships all packages via Fed Ex Ground, USPS or UPS; we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. A signature will be required on all packages over $200. When your package has been shipped, we will email you the tracking number.

Please double check to ensure your shipping address is correct. If any package is sent back to J Knox Designs, for any reason, the Buyer will be responsible for all fees to reship package.

Free shipping is only offered for certain products shipping to the contiguous 48 states.

The international buyer must accept sole responsibility for all fees, but not limited to, customs fees, taxes and any other fees levied upon delivery of your product.

Return/Exchange Policy

We take pride in our craftsmanship and your satisfaction. Our fixtures are made to order when purchased, therefore, we typically do not accept returns on our made to order products for any reason other than defects. We will accept exchanges if Purchaser contacts J Knox Designs via email of intent to exchange merchandise within 25 days of ship date. Purchaser is responsible for all return shipping fees. Purchaser must return merchandise via insured USPS, FedEx or UPS no later than 30 days of receipt of merchandise. Products must be in original unused factory condition. J Knox Designs is not responsible for damaged or lost packages when return shipping. We will not accept returns or exchanges on sale items, custom orders or large orders.
